On Tour with Albani Calusin and RMIT

Back in March last year I had the pleasure of taking two groups from Melbourne’s RMIT on my Stoke Newington Ghostsigns Walk. This was the second time I’ve worked with the University on their special European study tour and, again, it was a really enjoyable experience with two bright and enthusiastic groups.

Following the study tour all the students worked on producing a book about the experience, putting some of their design learning to use in doing so. I was interviewed by Albani Calusin for a section which you can read here. Copy limitations meant that the piece was reduced slightly from the original which had contained these kind words:

For me, the Ghostsigns Walking Tour was one of my favourite London activities. Our tour guide, Sam, was so passionate about the signs, what they represented, and the possibility of their extinction. I loved seeing the old faded signs on the buildings right in front of me, then seeing an old picture of what it looked like decades before I was even born.

PS. Public walking tour dates for the first half of 2018 are now listed on my walking tours page.
