Ghost Signs Society/Club/Group
[Update: This idea has taken life in the various online locations for Ghostsigns.]
I visited Louis Sheldon-Williams last night and saw some of his photographs which featured in his exhibition. There are some lovely shots including some that have since disappeared (this example can still be seen on the garage on this street).
We talked about what should be done in terms of a photographic archive and with respect to lobbying for the protection of signs. To kick this off we thought it’d be a good idea to form a society/club/group of people interested in these signs. We could then hold an event to bring everyone together with a view to progressing an archive and more. We’ve provisionally suggested a September date.
