Brymay Palimpsest
I went to meet Sebastian Groes today as we’re doing a presentation at the University of Westminster next week. On my way there I passed this sign in Haringey, designed to be clearly visible from the train tracks.
There are two signs fighting for attention, one from the classic blue and yellow Brymay Matches campaign and then, in bigger letters, ‘John…’ with the first letter of the second word covered by the plant. The door is obviously a new addition and the signs would once have covered the entire building from top to bottom.
I’ll have to go back in winter to get another photo when a more square angle will be possible and the trees and plants cleared a little.
