Martin Thompson
Martin Thompson is an artist who has done a series of pieces based on his photography of predominantly London Ghost Signs. He calls them “urban fossils”. There was an exhibition in 2006 at the Bettie Morton Gallery in Brixton which I went to and was impressed with some of the signs. I would have loved location details so that I could see them live before his work to them. There was then a second exhibition in 2007 and his work can be viewed online over a few pages:

Maggie Jones joins the archive
